The MLA are delighted to confirm that details for the training schedule for MLA Expo 2019 have been announced. Europe’s largest locksmith event of it’s kind returns to Telford International Centre from 4th and 6th of October.
After having announced the full exhibitor list last week we can now reveal details of the training schedule for 2019 and exactly what courses are available to book.
” 13 different training areas (5 Auto related areas + 8 General Locksmith-related) that will house the 70+ courses “ – Steffan George (MLA Managing Director)
Dr Steffan George, Managing Director of the MLA said: “MLA Expo 2019 is looking likely to break yet more records for the locksmithing industry, not only by being bigger and busier, but also including more training rooms and even more courses than any other locksmith exhibition in Europe.
There will be 13 different training areas (5 Auto related areas + 8 General Locksmith-related) that will house the 70+ courses and seminars being run. No matter what your training needs are when it comes to locksmithing, MLA Expo 19 has got you covered! “
Courses and seminars will be offered in the areas of General Locksmithing (to include non-destructive entry, Lock ID, UPVC & Composite related training, High security cylinders, abrasive wheel certification, tool sharpening an overview of the BLI exam, electrical safety), as well as Safes.
Alongside the general locksmith seminars there will also be business-related seminars (including Google Garage) and a Legal seminar for locksmiths that will also be run.
Here are just some of the courses you can’t miss:
Digital (by Google Garage):
Legal (by David Lee Solicitors)

As well as the specific auto and general locksmithing training courses listed above, there will also be various demonstrations and seminars being run by exhibitors such as ABUS, ERA, Hickleys and DormaKaba.
See the full Training Schedule here where you can also download the booking form and timetable of courses.
To secure your place on any of the courses, including the Free of Charge ones, you will need to book in advance.
If there are any spaces still available on courses, then they may be sold on the day at the MLA stand however this is not guaranteed so if you definitely want to attend a specific course we recommend booking now.
MLA Expo is on schedule to be the biggest and busiest ever, as of July 2019 online visitor registrations are showing a 78% increase compared to 2017, which itself was a record-breaking year.
Due to the high registrations, it is recommended to sign up for free entry beforehand to avoid queuing in the morning.
Registration takes just two minutes you will be issued with an e-ticket you can print off or use on your phone.
